The Beats - Multimedia Project

The Beats is an exciting multimedia project that we will offer to pupils once they have completed the 10 week Step Up Programme.

Using the latest laptops and music software pupils have the chance to create their own album.

The Beats project runs as an enterprise challenge, the groups we work with have to allocate a project manager and accountant and work well as a team. They then ask people in their school to make a donation in exchange for a CD. The profit they make will be sent to a charity who help street children in Africa. We hope to set up some child sponsorships for the different groups that we work with.

The Beats was established in response to the interests and talents of the young people N-Gage was working with up to 2009. Listening to the young people, and giving them a sense of ownership of the programmes we run is important and is one of the main strengths of N-Gage.

"The strength of N-gage lies in the fact that they respect the young people they work with and that their programmes are structured in such a way that young people discover things about themselves and others that often lead to them choosing to adopt a different way of thinking and a more positive lifestyle."

The Beats can be tailored made for you so you can run it in youth and community groups. Please contact Rachel Gaunt on 0161 425 8252 to discuss this.
